07 for 08

Brokedown and traded my 07 with 20,000 miles for a 08.
Was going to wait for the 09 but decided to take advantage of the
free premium package and cheap financing.

Puts me in a position to go for either for the 09 or 10.

August Build date
Alpine White
Saddle Brown
Premium Package
Rear Climate Package

Will be installing a BMW trailer hitch in about a month.

Did not come with the tool to manually open the sun roof and
also does not come with the little spare plastic key
and flashlight.

what kind of value did you get on the trade-in and was it a 3.0 or 4.8?

I owned an 06 325 and traded if for the 07 X5 because I need towing
capability.

Went for the 08 X5 because I got a good deal.

It puts me in a good position to buy either the 09 or 10 X5 and still have good trade value on the 08 X5.
The dealer like trades with 20,000 miles or less. It works for me.

The only issue I had with the 07 X5 (looks like it is still in the 08)
is wind noise around the upper part of the front doors.

It was a solid auto giving me a combined 19.9 mph over the 20,000
miles.

I'm asking about the 1-yr trade value because I might be tempted if the twin turbo comes out in the near future. Having the new idrive won't hurt either.

The 07 was a 3.0 with no options and brought 39,900.

Good for our market.

As long as the deal makes sense for you, good luck.

On the surface, it doesnt make financial sense to me but would need to know what you paid for your 07, what they gave you for trade in and discount on 08.
The other thing to factor is your buying an 08 at the end of the model year, the 09's will be hitting dealers in another 4-6 weeks.
Usually you take your biggest hit in year 1.
