This is kind of a non-important question, but why is the X5 know as xDrive 30i while the X3 is know as xDrive 30si. The one has the added "s". Isn't it the exact same engine? The both the 2007-2008 X5 and X3 has the "s" in the naming scheme.

X3 finally gets some decent rims.
all X5 3.0s now with premium sound thrown in... I guess a nice feature with the slightly increased base price.

what is the difference between the 'smart phone integration' and what i have now in my 2008?? only difference i can tell is "improved reception"... but the second description of this feature under 'x6' says that's only because of reduced wireless interference?
can anyone explain who really knows? thx. other than that, are there ANY new features for MY 2009 X5 4.8 vs. 2008? thx. |

I am about to take delivery on 2008 X5 4.8i with all the options, but I can still back out. Should I? The lease is for 36 months, 15,000 miles, NY tax is $1,025 per month, $2,929 down.
Much appreciated. Last edited by Izzy0428 : 09-03-2008 at 06:39 PM. |

when does the non-M variant V8TT that the X6 has come out for the X5? i only ask b/c ml550 is a good .8 sec faster than the 4.8i and i'm sure porsche's cayenne s will be bumping their engine up soon too.
