Driver side visor light...

Seems like the visor light on my driver's side is always on. Everytime I pull down the visor the light is on even without opening the mirror. Anything I can do without having to take it in to the dealer?

Make sure the little slide door is closed on the visor so it covers the mirror. When you want to use the mirror just slide the door open.

Please read what I wrote:

Believe me, I tried it 200 times before posting.

hmm...was it at night? if the headlights are on auto, it may be programmed to turn on even if the mirror slider is in position. try it during the day see if that doesn't switch it on. can't think of anything else that can cause it to come on like that. don't know anything you can do to fix that..

good luck

Lights are on auto but it was during the daytime. It's quite annoying when driving as the light is in your face. The passenger light doesn't come on until you open the mirror.

Our X5 had a similar issue, with the vanity lite, dealer fixed it, poor connection or somthing; not a big problem
