I'm kinda glad that there won't be another iS...leaving some performance exclusivity to the E53. Still may not translate to better resale... ...
I just may keep her in the family now.

Any idea that when the X5 xDrive35i and X5 xDrive50i will be launched?

hopefully sooner.

Diesels Coming Sooner Than Thought
Also subject to great speculation and guessing was the planned launch date of the 335d and X5 xDrive35d. In recent weeks, the guessing game accelerated. Headlines such as “Confirmed: January 2009 launch for 335d and X5 xDrive35d” were spotted - but they were wrong.
Production of diesel-powered cars for the United States will start in September of this year and the cars will be available at your local BMW Center starting in November, around the time of the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show.
I’ll have an opportunity to perform in-depth testing of the new CIC-based iDrive and the 335d in the next few weeks and will report more then.

Why so long between production start and dealer availability?

Since this is a first time release of diesel X5 in US, they want to make sure that there are enough diesel X5s for each dealer in US at launch time. Given the amount of dealers in US there will be quite a few diesels X5s needed so that each dealer has at least one at launch time. November is target date, though some or most dealers may have it much before.

My dealer called me today and said production would be November with February delivery for X5 Diesel. Said the person who orders all of their cars called BMW NA for an update and this is what they were told as of last week.

Would it be possible to put biodiesel in the diesel X5? Can it be B100 or needs to be something like B20?

I don't think anything more than 5% bio diesel if I remember. It also has to run on ultra low sulfur diesel as well.
