they both do, IMO, at least compared to the X5. personally I'm waiting to see what the 2009 infiniti fx50 looks like. has a lot of tech gadgets, like cameras at all 4 corners so you can see a "birdseye view" while parking etc...

I would tend to agree that the GL does not look as much like a station wagon as the R series.

The GL was actually a strong consideration for me but the X5 held strong...
I figure I might get a GL 450 when my wife needs to replace her ML 320 (which could be any day now given the problems that we have with it over the years!).

That is an interesting question. Last year, a standard option was "Body-color exterior door and tailgate handles" so this does appear to be a new standard option.

<-- pukes at all-white. Seen too many ugly X3s like that. I want the black bumpers with the white, but I don't want an '07 either.

Just wanted to say the "International" 2008 brochure still shows the grey bumpers though...

Are you saying that the dealer can't select Saddle Brown in BMW's ordering system anymore?

I thought that there were people here that had already placed and secured their order with Saddle Brown?. Those of you that had orders with Saddle Brown in the system.......have you checked to see if it's still SB?
