Come on BMWNA reps... can't you see you're killing us here ?!
I am talking about diesels in US only.

^ thanks, here's an article I've found alluding to the whole diesels-in-US issue...

link

MB is waiting for MY09, hopefully BMW will act quicker - and I still want to know what the March '08 date is about.

Still waiting for the news with respect to the POWER LIFTGATE (hopefully it will be part of Comfort Access or Soft-close doors if it is not going to be a standalone item) Wondering why the Ordering Guide for the US is still not out yet?

Does anyone know how does this differ from the Dynamic Performance Control for the X6 or are they actually the same thing? Furthermore, is it correct to say that all X5s build from Oct 07 onwards will have this new intellegent xdrive?

I don't think power tailgate is available for early 2008 models.

DPC is better. Also X6 has DxD(Dynamic xdrive) which will eventually come to X5. You may have to change your handle then to match the technology.

xdrive, what X5 do you drive?

Was planning to get a new X5 but the X6 looks so good (more sporty, IMO) so depending on the premium on X6, may consider the X6.

As to the new Dynamic x-drive, not really understand what you mean by you may have to change your handle in order to match the technology? Do you mean the experience will be similar to active steering esp for those who have never driven a car with that option before?

By the way, what do you think of the X6? is it going to be a 4-seater only or will there be a 5-seater for the X6?

Thanks for all the info you've been providing on this forum.

Isn't it a bit strange that the 08s are going to be built in 2 weeks and the 08 specs have still not yet been released?

As of today in the BMW-DCS ordering system you cannot 'de-select' navigation on the X5 4.8i. So who knows what to expect. It may be standard in the 2008 US 4.8i's.

My dealer has been offering to price and build an 08 for me for around 3 weeks. The price will be based on 07s because they don't have any info regarding 08 prices (maybe a good thing), but my car will be built off 07 specs because I can't get 08 specs (probably a bad thing).
