Is there anyway to view the software version of our Idrive and nav on the E70?

Don't have an answer on your software question although I'm sure there's a way. Looking at your car it seems like the wheels are 18" and the Sport package comes with 19's or are those the 19's that come with the 3.0. Beautiful car, love those seats.

You have to measure the wheel without the lip that the tire bead rides against. If they are 19's I guess BMW uses different 19" wheels for the 3.0 and 4.8 sport packages. |

Has this question been answered somewhere in this forum? If so, what might the answer be? I have been disappointed in the accuracy of the nav maps and want to be able to argue that they give me 2008.1 since the purchase was May 31. But I also don't even remember how to find the build date. I do remember being told that it was on the lot for a month. |

Have you tried the Service Mode? Lots of information, some of it might be useful to you. Here are the instructions to gain access (a bit like safe cracking ):Service Mode Service Mode is Accessed as Follows: • Open Start menu • Press and hold the controller for at least 10 seconds • Move the controller 3 stops to the right • Move the controller 3 stops to the left • Move the controller 1 stop to the right • Move the controller 1 stop to the left • Move the controller 1 stop to the right • Press the controller once. Note: To exit Service mode press the Menu button. reference: X5 Reference Documents Simon |

I finally tried this and only got data about things like the fluids and brakes. I could not find a way to move the controller 3 stops to the left or right so perhaps theein lies the problem. All I found was "Service Info" with three small sub-menus. |

Okay, I finally made my way to the service mode. I see lots of data, but could not locate the software version for the i-drive. Please name the submenu that gets me there. Thanks. |
