I said at at LEAST 450HP. I wouldnt even consider it without at least that much hp. But I think 550hp would be just enough. Although i think the V12 from the 760 I would be awesome in the E70 even though it only has 438 hp. It is so smoth and has torque everywhere. It makes the 7series accelerate so effortlessly. If they massaged the V12 to 500hp and put it into the X5 shit id pay 100k for that thing. I think they should make an M7 to though. with a 7 speed smg and bump up the V12 hp to 550hp. that would be incredible. Shit the V12 is 6.0 liters you telling me thaey cant get at least 500hp out of it relatively easily compared to getting 500hp out of 5liters in the v10

As you can see E70 has been pushed up-market . specially the basis one (3.0si).

There is more room for X3 now . the difference between 3.0L X3 & X5 MSRP was $6k - $37k vs. $43k, with new X5 reaching $10k difference ($37k vs $47k).

Also maiking a room for an upcoming top-end X3 featuring N54 bi-turbo engine.

The same is happening with 3er coupe & cabrio - both basis versions pushed a few grands up making space for upcoming 2er cabrio & coupe (coming late Spring & late Fall 2007).

And the top-end X3 featuring the N54 bi-turbo engine will probably cost as much as a base '06 E53 4.4i. What I'd rather see is an E91 N54 bi-turbo powered 330i AWD sports wagon with a M-Technics body kit.

At $80K, I'm buying something other than an E70. I could go over to the dealer right now and buy a CPO '05 4.8is with 7500 miles for $57K.

However, if I had to option one out, it would look like this:

Base price........... $54,500
Destination.............. 695
Auto tailgate op/clo..... 500
Running boards........... 300
Heated rear seats........ 350
3rd row seating........ 1,200
Nappa Leather.......... 1,000
Cold weather package..... 900
Premium package........ 2,550
Rear climate package..... 900
Sports package......... 3,600
20" Wheels............... 950
Technology Package..... 2,365
Total................ $69,810

Options Not Selected
Active steering...... $ 1,250
Comfort access..........1,000
HUD.....................1,000
HD radio..................500
Sat radio.................595
Rear seat entertainment 1,800
Active seats package... 2,100
Premium sound package.. 1,800
Total Options Deleted $10,045

Ah, yes, it would appear that is the case. I figure I have to write a check for $26K to trade up.
