Chrome window trim: an option?

I'm trying to figure out how my X happened to get Chrome Window Trim?

Its a 2005 4.4 CPO and only the Premium Package and Activity/Cold Weather Package was supposed to be on it. None of these packages list the Chrome Trim as a component. I have a sales brochure but see no mention of the chrome trim anywhere. I don't think it was standard on all 4.4s in 2005. Was it an option the original owner requested?

Initially I did not like the Chrome (I'l not into BLING), if you wash the car and forget to wipe it, watermarks form... but now it's 'growing on me'

Non sport = chrome window trim.

I had a sterling grey 2005 4.4i non sport. I actually preferred the chrome trim with the sterling. It brought out the metallic in the color. Nice combo. Get some chrome tail pipes.

Ah, so Chrome is the 'standard' and black comes with the sport option.. makes sense now.

Like I said, 'its growing on me'... at first I thought the chrome made it look like a hearse... glad the body isn't black. I agree that the chrome does look good with the Sterling Grey. And yes, 4.8 type chrome tips would look nice.

Thanks.

I agree. I had a black non sport '01 4.4. I HATED the way the chrome trim looked.
