Lokos like Indy shop may have found the source of my oil leak issue. They cleaned it all up and traced the seapage to the oil sender return line and tightened up what appeared to be a loose banjo bolt. Where is this? Is it visible in the pic here?

We'll see if that's really it but if so I am releived to hear it's not something major.

It would appear so. Thats not a common leak point though... Hope that's the end of it!

No, I'm in a pretty good spot in Metairie actually, and ended up being part of that lucky 5-10% that didn't even lose power. I was still on the internet during the worst of it. Farther west is where it was hit pretty hard, I just had to rake my yard of the small branches left by the oak trees... thats it! Maybe I shoulda bought a lotto ticket while I was up on my luck?

Wow, media portrayed it like it was gonna get decimated again. I wonder if it's gonna be a yearly scare now. Global warming is so whack. Go figure I am moving to a place that will probably get leveled by a quake.

Oh btw they confirmed that the bolt they tightened is the one in the pic since i showed them it on my camera. No drips yet but we'll see. They said nothing coming from valve covers or sender lines from up in the engine compartment. They did say the lines are a little soft tho. This is what I thought when i looked at it myself.

I have oil leaks underneath too

I was thinking it was the oil pan gasket. Went to Indy shop and he
quoted me $1100 labor to change the $40 gasket! Says he has to
drop whole sub frame.

Where is the oil separator and those "banjo" nuts you tightened? That
seems like a great first place to start! I did the valve cover gasket, they
were shot.

I have 199,400 miles......... those hoses in back of motor have never been
touched.

if it's the upper oil sump gasket, you do need to drop the front subframe and suspension components. you should take the reenforcement plate off and trace where the oil leaks from. I doubt it's the upper oil sump gasket though. that's not common to leak.
