Compass Mirror - ready to install?

I have a 2005 X5 which has the rain sensor and the homelink options, but no compass mirror. If I buy the appropriate compass mirror on Ebay, wil the wiring to connect it most likely be in place already, or will I have to do some additional wiring?

Thanks!

No additional wiring is necessary assuming you're getting the OEM compass mirror with auto dimming. I did the same upgrade to my '04 that had the standard mirror four years ago and it's just a simple "plug and play". Look at the DYI tips on the main page for more info.

Yep, added one to my '01 - nothing but plug and go.

I've also been wanting to put in the compass mirror. Where did you buy it? eBay?
Do you have pictures of the install process?

(I've looked at the installment at the first page, but no pictures...)
