Question manualy tuning radio

Hi all
cant find any instruction on search, so I am hoping someone can tell me how to manually search a radio (sat nav model) so I can put in an obscure frequency to run my fm transmitter on my ipod.
The nav was retro fitted by a previous keeper and I have no instructions.
thanks.

Push the "select" side of the "tone select" button and a manual tuning selection should be visible.
Colin.
