Thanks for the motivation and advice

You're right Supersteve, I should at least give this a try. Back in the day, I practically rebuilt my 1969 Corvette. Swissfrank, if you can take those pics, it would be a huge help. Thanks again to everyone.

Thats awesome. I did realize removing the center firewall was an option. That makes for a lot more room.

RastaFarai,
Yup we have his and hers. No posed pictures just yet. Someday I take the time and set "My X page."

Thank you Swissfrank!!

That is extremely helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to find that and to post. I can not thank you enough. My hoses look brand new compared to the ones in thoses pics, I wonder if the dealerships diagnosis is accurate. I'll do this DIY and see if that takes care of the SES light. Thanks again.

Bruce

Any vacum leak will give the same code. When my hoses went they looked good on top; but, the bottom of the hose was gone. They had the consistency of old bubble gum.

My joke to friends is; BMW has a dollar sign "$" on the dashboard. When it lights up you drive to the dealer and give them money until it goes out.
