One HID Brighter than the other?? HID fog's installed but....

Hey guys, I installed my HID FOG kit..........it seems that one bulb for whatever reason is brighter than the other??? Any reason why this is?? I do not know the in's and out's and science with HID's, any one here ever here of this or have this happen? I mean it could be as simple as a bad bulb???right??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

RR

There can be 2 reasons.

First is that the bulb may not be set all the way in the housing. re-set it and try it again.

OR

Most likely you need to aim them. The Fogs are adjustable and can be aimed.

I had to adjust mine last week after a bulb swap. Brand new balbs should be the same color.

Good luck

More than likely it is a bad bulb....they should have the same brightness regardless of how they are aimed..You'd be able to tell.. Bad bulb...

HMMM!! Could be! They were 4500k...they were actually supposed to be at 6000k....

I just emailed Dave G at AngelIbrite/customangeleyes...I explained the situation and explained that I am looking for new bulbs and of a different color temp....the 4500 are cool, but I wanted to match my headlights....between 600k and 8000k..

....to be continued!..no one said all mods were easy..Right Rasta!! LOL!

RR!!!

i installed HID fogs a few weeks ago and I used 5000k from ebay. They seem whiter than OEM. Isnt OEM 4300k? Did you change your headlight bulb?

Sorry not sure of the color difference.

If you have the projector-style fogs, then the aim could be your culprit. The way to see this is stand in front of the X where you see the difference in brightness, then move to whichever side is the "dimmer" one and see if some point it gets brighter. I have this issue - driver's side is brighter than passenger side. I just haven't taken the time to adjust it. See pic below on the left.
