How to reset Check brake linings?

Okay, i just replaced all 4 rotors, 4 pairs of b-pads and the 2 sensors, did the key on position 2 for 45 seconds or more ( several tries) but the message still shows.
Any other ways of resetting the warning?

my guess is something wrong with one of the sensors or not connected properly.

Is the "!" light going out with key in position 2?

i'm not sure if there is any"!", its just the "brake" and the "check brake lining" on the cluster and they're not going out with key on position 2. i will try and check/reseat the sensors, just checking if there is any other way other than the article from the homepage...

Maybe your NEW sensor needs replacing. That may turn it off. This is MY guess

OR

Splice both wires together on the bad sensor and the light should go off. Other folks who upgrade to big brakes, there is no place for the sensor. So they just splice the wires and cut off the sensor. Not I have not tried this on the E53 chassis but If these are 2 wire sensors, it should work.

What exact message do you have? If you have a Brake light flashing yellow and red then you can start the car, pump the brake pedal, pull up the hand brake, shift to Neutral, keep pumping your brake, turn steering left and right all the way until the light goes away.

I have seen someone reported that...Turn the key to position 2 but don't start the car then just wait for 30 seconds or so until the yellow warning light goes out.

This is assuming that your service center really installed a new sensor and they plugged it in to the harness properly.

Okay, problem solved.. i checked one of the sensors and one pin on the connection socket was bent, so i straightened it, put it back, key on position 2 for about 25 sseconds and away the brake warning went...Thanks
