Correct, a multimeter will determine if the clips pierced the wiring jacket.

sorry, don't have a multimeter. i tried tightening it. Has anyone ever tried this on a retrofitted folding mirror? the pin #s are the same, and it's doing something, just not the right something.

retrofitted folding mirror?
did you just install new window switch which has folding mirror button?
based on your posts, it seems like you got new switch and emirror module then installed both at same time,
did your folding mirror button work?? before you install eMirror module???

the retrofit folding mirrors just means i didnt have folding mirrors originally. I installed them, and installed the switch. The switch works - mirrors fold in fine.I actually got the emirror first because i figured i didnt need the switch right away if the module worked. THen when the module didnt work, i decided to get the switch before returning the module. now the switch works, but the module still doesnt work.

Hey Tom...

Looking at your site, your eMirrors description is as follows:

"Mirror folding module: When locking the vehicle the outside mirrors fold with and when unlocking drive out them again. They can even adjust whether the mirrors directly when locking to fold, or whether you keeps the remote maintenance key pressed.

Our mirror folding modules function over data telegrams (i-bus of instructions) and therefore completely simply only with 3 cables at the basic module are attached, therefore no door linings must be removed!"

Couldn't you guys have at least gotten someone who speaks English to translate this? It doesn't seem like it would have been too hard!

Ok now I am going to order one, even though I have no idea what it does based on that description!

Adam
