20" tire recommendation

Does anyone know if I could put 295/40/20's on the rear rims for my 20" staggered 87 rims?

I don't particulary like the ride i'm getting on the rear 315/35/20's in the rear, plus replacements for that size is alot more expensive than the 295/40's.

If anyone has any good info if this is OK, or if it would make things worse or could cause other problems, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jeff

Gets noiser as you add miles and has rounded edges which makes it looks less wider.
