It's in their system and they can search for it quite easily. Just have them look up the proper car, like a 2005 4.4i under transmission and it should come up. There are only a few SIB's that should come up; it's not like they need to search through thousands.

The SIB only affects cars with the N62 engine. I believe yours is an M62. (Nice car btw)

That's what I figured, but they said they checked for SIBs for all X5's.

Try BMW SIB 24 01 06 with a title of "Harsh 2-1 downshift"

Similar SIB was issued for E90's etc. - SIB 24 04 06

- I think this is for '04+ the facelifted X
