Ljnlaw, have you received and installed the lowering kit? I'm curious to see the results. Before and After pics would be awesome.

No I haven't received it yet Bav Auto said it should be shipped by mid July it was back ordered, the only reason I ordered it in June because I was able to purchase it at their sale price. I will definitely post pics of my X once its lowered.

Well I ordered my lowering kit from BavAuto back on June 24 I believe, and have spoken to them twice since then and they keep telling that the lowering kit and other parts were shipped on a container from Europe and that the container is being held up in customs...does not sound good. If they can't get it to me within the next week I may cancel the order and ask for a refund.

Two months sounds kind of fishy to me.
I think some CC companies only allow 60 days to dispute transactions. Best to check with your CC company to be safe. If the company files for Bnkrptsy, you're out of luck!

I've had good experiences with Bav Auto everytime I've ordered from them. I just think they haven't worked out the snafus with their supplier for this particular item. I'd just get a refund and see they'll honor the price at which you bought it when they actually get it in stock.

nra707 I called again this afternoon and I was assured that the shipping issues have been taken care of, I was told that the kit will be in and ready to ship on 8/28 I also plan to order the Bilstein HDs for the front to work with the lowering springs considering I looked high and low for sport springs for my 4.6is and I cannot find anyone that makes them....if all goes according to plan I should have the following mods done the 1st or 2nd week in September:

(1) X-Pipe to replace the straight pipes;
(2) Bilstein HDs installed in the front with the new lowering springs;
(3) Rear end links to lower the rear air suspension; and
(4) AFE CAI installed.

Well here's the skinny on the BavAuto lowering kit :
- Ordered kit on June 24th and told me it was back ordered
- Called in July still back ordered
- Called again in early August they said kit would be in by mid August
- Mid August they said kit is still back ordered and I cancelled the order and decided to place a new, different order...since the Bav front lowering springs were back ordered I replaced them in the new order with Eibach lowering springs, kept the rear end links and added the Bilstein HD front shocks (since no one makes sport springs for the 4.6is)
- I called last Thursday 9/4 and they told me that the Eibach lowering springs were discontinued and the rear end links were still back ordered WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I again cancelled the order and am pissed because I waited for these parts for over 2 months and now nothing...what makes the matter worse is that I have no idea of where to purchase a lowering kit for my 4.6is DOES ANYONE MAKE PARTS FOR THE 4.6is???????????????????????
