Anyone lower their 4.8?

I never "off road" my 4.8is, so I'd prefer a tighter suspension and lower, more aggressive stance. Has anyone ever lowered their 4.8 or 4.6? What's involved? Thanks.

the 4.8 is quite easy, you can get the dealer to slightly re-program the suspension or get something called an intrax module, which I believe LemansX5 has

Thanks, I'll do some searches for intrax. Much appreciated.

I haven't had much success finding the intrax module on the web. Does anyone have a link (or a better alternative for lowering my 4.8is)? Thanks

The best bet is to have it lowered by the dealer. That's where I had my 4.8is lowered and they didn't even charge me. They (the stealer) probably were thinking..." we robbed this guy enough already so let's be nice to him this time."

LOL - can the 4.4 be lowered the same way (by dealer or with the module mentioned)?

So what does the dealer do exactly, I know its just programming, but how do they change it?

Well, maybe my dealer is incompetent, but when I asked him via email if he could re-program the suspension so that it sits at its lowest point all of the time his response was:

"The answer is NO. The system would show error codes & set off all kinds of warning lights & there is no setting from the software to have your truck sit lower all the time-sorry."

I had one of my buddies who is a BMW technician do it......brought the truck down a good inch or so. And when I park and put it in low mode, there is barely any gap, looks great!
