Warranty ?
to the BMW side (VW/Audi guy) and i was wounding if anyone heard of BMW voiding your warranty for wheels ? I really want to get rid of these small 17's |

I believe the fact that there are different size OEM wheels for X3's may indicate the acceptability of certain size wheels. It may be that once you exceed the recommended sizes you may find yourself at odds with the warranty.

The dealer cannot void the warranty on the entire vehicle due to one single part. If something goes wrong with something wheel-related, and they determine that an aftermarket part caused the defect, they can void the warranty on that specific area. But the remainder of the warranty remains intact.
Example: I buy aftermarket 19" wheels. A month later, the window regulator fails while the vehicle is within warranty. They must cover the window regulator. Example 2: I buy aftermarket 19" wheels. The ABS sensor fails. If they can determine that your wheels somehow caused the failure, they are not obligated to cover that ABS sensor. |

You can always get 19" from the BMW dealer put on, which is what I think the max BMW allows on X3 SAVs. BTW, if your old 17" are in way feel free to send them to me...lol..I'll pay for the shipping charges.
