Thank you doctor. Giving medical advice are we??? I can just see a Lawsuit coming from the family
of someone who dies because they went off their cholesterol medication in favor of this juice. Quote:

Why being so negative? I'm just sharing my and others experience with the juice, what worked for some MIGHT NOT work for you, just like with any drug or pill out there on the market.

Here's more info on pomegranate juice effects:
It's certainly possible that pomegranate juice, like grapefruit juice, can interact with certain drugs. Grapefruit juice increases the concentration of calcium-channel blockers, HIV therapies, anesthetics, and cholesterol-lowering medications such as Lipitor. In a study of human liver cells, pomegranate juice inhibited the action of cytochrome P450 3A, an enzyme crucial to drug metabolism, though not as much as grapefruit juice did. In this study, grapefruit juice came out on top as a cytochrome P450 3A inhibitor, followed by black mulberry juice, wild grape juice, pomegranate juice, and black raspberry juice, in that order. The researchers were quick to point out that we don't know whether these laboratory findings apply to human beings. The bottom line is that the benefits and risks of pomegranate juice are still unclear. If you like the juice enough to drink a glass every day, be sure to tell your clinician, so that she or he can keep it in mind when monitoring your Lipitor and other medication. MonaVie is only a food and it is 100% Opti-Acai with the juice of the other fruit used to reconstitute the powder it at bottling. There is not enough of the other juices to conflict with any meds including blood thinners. Even Vitamin K is not an issue≈not enough to cause a problem. So far, MonaVie has not conflicted with or is considered a counter-indication for any medications. I think there is a fear of juice because there are some fruit that are counter-indicated for certain meds. But you have to eat enough of these specific fruits for it to rise to a problem. There is one fruit in particular that poses a unique problem. It is grapefruit. Why grapefruit juice is a problem for people taking certain drugs - including many psychotropic meds - is that grapefruit juice (unlike any other citrus juice or other fruit) inhibits two enzymes that are important in metabolizing or breaking down these medications. When the enzymes aren't doing their job, much more of the drug in question remains available to enter the person's bloodstream, and in some cases, this can have dangerous, even toxic, effects. For example, as much as 99% of BuSpar (Buspirone) is normally metabolized before the drug ever enters the bloodstream. When taken in the presence of grapefruit juice (not even at the same time≈it can be many hours later), the amount of BuSpar in the system could increase as much as 400% - a hazardous situation. |

Not being negative. You got testimonials? fine. You better be quoting them by name rather than give medical advice. Giving medical advice will get you sued and that my friend seriously is no joke. And don't try to say your not giving medical advice because this statement is doing just that. "From my experience, most likely person drinking Mona Vie would get off Lipitor and the juice will take care of cholesterol level."

I do appreciate your opinion.
Here are some video testimonials on Mona Vie : Geoff Bodine and Others http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...oid=17486 536 Here's a personal story of one of the members on this board, who asked me not to disclose his name for now. I've been on it for about a week or so, works very well for me. Here is a write up I provided to a couple people a few days ago: I'm not big on telling people to get supplements or try crap to fix problems with your body. I've always been "tough it out your body can fix anything", so me posting this actually means something (for what it is worth). I have had shot knees and a shot back since playing 4 years as a lineman, and the fact that I was a good 50lbs over-weight the entire time. Once I started lifting I was always hampered by the fact that my knees were so crappy that I couldn't put any weight on them, i.e. squats. I actually had guys and the gym listen to my knee and after hearing the cracking say "don't touch the rack". You could literraly hear the cartilage in the knee popping. Not to mention when I was 14 during a "flag" football game a 18 year old came through and clipped me shattering a bone spur under my right knee (that was fun) coupled by the fact a year later I had a 2" nail go in under my kneecap during an accident. So obviously, joints in the knees are a problem for me. Last week I was with a couple friends, one of whom was a competitive body builder in his prime. We were talking and his wife said "if you have any joint pain issues or any general health concerns you should drink this juice.". I asked her what it was so she brought out a bottle, Mona Vie. It is basically a fruit juice but the equivalent of more then all the recommended fruits you need in a day and that is in 2 ounces. Along with that it has a ton of antioxidants and, I'm guessing, inflammation prohibitors. Well it was expensive, she told me a bottle was about 35.00, I told her give me two. I started drinking 2 ounces a day about 5-6 days ago. Now, every morning I was taking Tylenol so that my knees and back wouldn't bother me at work (sitting on my arse for 9 hours). Once I started the drink, I stopped Tylenol to see if it really had an effect. Well, it DID. Huge. I no longer have anywhere near the pain in my knees, no popping and now my back is about at 2 when it was at 10. The main reason I had to post this is that prior to the drink, I had to stop doing reclined leg presses because my knee popped so bad with 240lbs on it that I didn't want to risk blowing it out. Today, I put 300lbs on the same press and there was not a sound, a crackle, or any pain from the knee at all. I was able to rep it 6-8 times with no issues. Needless to say I was ecstatic. So, take it for what its worth but you should at least read up on it: |

AMAZING! Fixed your back, your hair, your energy level, while promoting weight loss at the same time. No pyramid scheme here, just the fix all magic bullet. To suggest that a person being treated with Lipitor could forgo their medications with your wonder juice as a replacement is pure ignorance.

Im a dietitian. I took 4 years of intense Nutritional science courses. By comparison, a regular Dr only takes a 2 week nutrition course in medical school. You can also read a book and call yourself a nutritionist, but not a Dietitian. Nutrients/vitamins are needed in Microgram amounts. Juicing is not recommended for those with diabetes due to the increased amounts of sugars when concentrating juices. It is ALWAYS best to consume natures foods in a natural state. You say there are lots of pesticides in todays fruits and veggies, well wash them instead of substituing them with burgers and fries. MS is caused by the immune system being triggered by an infectious agent whether virus of bacteria. Have your mom screened for Lyme disease and a group of stomach viruses that are the common causes of MS.
