Update - Unfortunately the bulb failure message is still present. It doesn't come on when the lights are in use, but I get a bong and "CHECK NUMPLATE LIGHT" when I turn off the ignition at the end of the journey.

For most X5s, these do not cause dash errors although there seems to be a few select production runs that receive errors but it's largely isolated. We just can't pinpoint what wiring or options cause the bulb out error on those few X5s. If the bulbs do cause an error, we'll take them back for a full refund.

No. If it throws an error then please bring it back for a full refund. There is no fix for it right now.

That's odd, must be a software issue. Have you noticed anything consistent that makes the error go away like turning the headlights on or off?
