Breyton -

Are you only getting flickering when the car initially starts up ?
I went with the Jlevi Leds for corner and backup bulbs.

No errors but they always flickered like *cop strobes* for about 5 seconds whenever the car was started.

I ended up putting back OEM bulbs as I felt the regulars were brighter in daylight for both the turn, brake and backup.

chefwong, the flickering starts the moment the light is turned on and doesn't go away, unfortunately. I'll try to find some kind of resistors/fix for this and if that doesn't work then I will officially give up on everything and anything LED for the E53.

jpm4.8is, that is a good question as to why LED tail lights only work with Euro X5. May be this is the reason why JLevi is taking so long tweaking it for US X5's. I guess the wait will continue or perhaps we all should give up.

breytonX5,
I own a Euro Spec X5, I might try to order a set and try them out...
Back when I owned a 330ci e46 I ordered a set of LED tails from another vendor., the lights were from the first batch that Depo produced. I encountered a problem with them, they would stop working whenever I would turn my headlights on. I got this resolved by taking a trip to the dealer to have the LCM reprogrammed. Why don't you ask your dealer if this can be done to your X5...

What I'm thinking now is resistors are needed but this is a pain in the rear. I'm now back to the drawing boards.
The LED looks awesome especially the brake lights which are very intense. Let me try to take some pics anyway by tonight and let you guys see what they look like.
ps: to streetoffire, my new whip is also an E53.
I had the same problem with an X5 EU-version. I fixed it with 4 pcs capacitor (2000uF), no error message, and the flickering is not visible. The only problem is, that the tail light is now brighter and there is not much difference to the break light.
