Has anyone used a portable compressor/inflator?
Hi.
Is there anyone who has some experience with portable compressor/inflator that uses 12V? Tirerack sells Continental branded one, and I am wondering if it's good. My X5 comes with RFT, but won't buy RFT for winter tires. Thanks. |

I have this kit from Conti, which I tuck in a trunk cubby in the Vette,
as it has no spare and I've replaced the RFTs. I have not had to use it, though I did try out the mini compressor: it's ok and seems it will work; not as fast as my ol'Black & Decker Air station, however. It simply takes a "while" to put the volume of air necessary into these large tires, but I think it is worth it for some piece of mind. I got 2 from Home Depot. The 1st died after several years. It owed me nothing, The other is a cambell&??. It works just fine, does take a while to fill. I bought it for my Porsche as the spare is not inflated, but use it for my other cars when needed.
