style 212 on e53

hey guys,

wil e70s style 212 wheels work on e53?

I have not tried the swap, but my reading tells me that the wheel
bore hole is quite different on the E70 wheel vs. the E53 wheel:

-Wheel bore on E53 wheels is 72.56 mm
-Wheel bore on E70 wheels is 74.1

They are very close; 1.54 mm different, but no record of
someone here posting their results.

Maybe a good welder could "bead in" a more narrow wheel bore dia.
on the E70 wheel, but I would pass on that try. Maybe wheel spacer
rings would work, but no one has really posted on that effort.
