Don't forget your 'turn-in' and overall lateral handling will suffer.

On my RX7 (Vert) I went from stock 15" to 17" and I regretted from the start.

Its nothing like what you are thinking, its just that when someone basis their opinion on what they dont know, some will state their opinion to show a different side. Also because this overall is a post based on opinions why wouldnt someone disagree and show their own opinion, isnt what these forums are based on. If no one disagrees then how would someone know the pros and cons of a Mod or upgrade. okay thats enuf.

The whole HATER thing is because of the negativity towards something someone does not know

I'm not a 22" hater at all. In fact, I think those wheels in 22" would look great. If it were me though, I wouldn't want to make the sacrifice in ride, handling, noise, and acceleration those puppies would create. If those things wouldn't bother you, then by all means, go for it and post pics - I'd be curious to see how they look.

those wheels are probably heavy. heavy wheels increase your rotational rate which detriment your handling capabilities not to mention that 22" tires are mighty expensive. if you can afford to go with 22's, do it the right way and get proper tuner light weight wheels or go oem instead of getting cheap heavy replicas.
