Summer tires = not sure yet
Summer rims = Cache Wheels Corsica or Motorist http://www.cachewheels.com

I did the spacers to get the rear wheels out to fender flares. All for looks.

We got some good snow this weekend and they worked great. Good tires.

I agree... those sidewalls look stressed and stretched.

I think the one picture is bad that makes it look like it is stretched. Don't get me wrong, it is a little bit but not as bad as the picture looks. The guys at Pirelli said that that tire will fit on a 11" rim and that BMW has huge lips on their rims that help out even more.

he said huge lips... =)

If the manufacturer says their within spec for the tire then you should be good to go, regardless of how it looks or what we say.

You are absolutely crazy! be careful about what the pirelli guys tell you, did they give you any kind of warranty on the tires ? Getting a tire to fit is not the problem, its the potential damage it will cause when it fails. Its all about the look so its worth it right? Just be extra careful driving, and check psi daily because you could lose 10psi a day and have no visual cue that it is low on pressure. goodluck!

The tire specs for the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow from tirerack.com says the 275/40/20 Rim Width Range is 9-11".

I run this tire in that size on my 10.5" rear wheel, its a rep if the 4.6is wheel. It does not looked stretched at all. Fits just fine, it does look better on the front 9.5" wheels though, but the rears are nothing to worry about on my X5.

You don't need the spacers. I did it just to push the tires out a bit for a wider look in the rear.
