Got lucky today with OEM 87's

Today was my lucky day! I purchased an OEM 20 inch style 87 staggered with Diamaris tires from a local previous X5 owner for $1500....Yipee!!! All wheels were in brand new condition without a single nick or scratch. Tires in the front still have 50% left on it but I would probably need the rears replaced. Still, it was a sweet deal cuz i've been wanting to get this. I was actually considering a set of replica from AFS but got lucky today at craigslist. Here are some pics of the wheels and i will be posting some more later this weekend.

How are the wheels in brand new condition if half the tread is gone?
