Price of Rear Brake Job
I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how much replacement of rear brake rotors and pads would cost from the dealer or a an independent shop? I have a 2001 X5, 3.0, and I am away from home for an extended period of time and do not have the tools or time to do it myself. If anyone can give me an estimate of how much this would cost I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

i heard bad things about brembo rotors on the X5... I wanted to get something sportier too prob slotted, I think i am just going to go with stock rotors @ 110 bucks out the door. I would want my fronts to match and they still have some life left in them. So maybe i will just upgrade the next go around.

If you do use a shop, check the local ACA chapter online or something. That will at least help you with finding a reputable shop.
I don't know if out of state cards work in other area's, but if you have one, give it a shot.

They estimated 2 hours labor at $113 hour. Don't we all know that BMW mechanics are brain surgeons and require the be compensated as such.
