BM54 and firmware

Hi to all !

Did someone of you already update the firmware of a BM54 to enable MP3 functionality on an older model ?

Inside the BM54 there is an AT27LV010A EPROM which could be easily taken out an read by a prommer. So does someone have the dump of the firmware of a newer BM54 to burn a new EPROM and enable the MP3 functionality on such an old model ?
The hardware layut of the BM54 has never changed, so the newer firmware must run !

thanks and kind regards
Rolli

I would be interested in this, although my CD player makes noises that the dealer "could not replicate" while under warranty, so I purchased/installed a DICE kit, which isn't much better, but is getting the job done for now...

Rolli,

Do you have a link or two that you could post which would educate us on the process to pull a copy of the firmware off the BM53 / BM54?
