facia replacement of the monitor
I have a broken backlight in the center LCD monitor of my Range Rover, so I can hardly read the information that is presented on the screen. Replacement (of the total unit) by the dealer will cost approximately 2000 euro's
Does anybody know if the front can be loosened, so I can put the silver front of the broken RR unit on the BMW unit? When I open the motorised front I see some small sleeves, so it looks as if it's possible. But I like to be sure... Thanks, Sil _________________ Range Rover Vogue 4.4 2004 Last edited by Sil : 05-29-2007 at 05:02 PM. |

Yes, you can easily use a BMW display, and replace just the circuit board with the LCD display, using your original facia panels.
For dismantling instructions and photos, see here: http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/211409 |

Thank you for your quick reply KiwiJochen !!!
I don't think it will be easy but that's probably because I have never done this. I'm gonna buy a X5 monitor and give it a try! Sil |
