Please can you explain how and with what program you copied over the rom_col_x file?

Many Thanks,
Andy.

They are described as 'City Centre', but are not really 'City' as they can be placed almost in the middle of nowhere! It’s actually the centre of any place that can be accessed from the ‘City’ field on the destination input screen.

Manual process I'm afraid Andy. I opened two instances of the navtweak program with one open on rom_col_9 say, and with the other I started to make my changes to each of the colours in the the palet for widescreen for another rom_col_.

Blimey that seems like a very long winded way! Surely there must be a way to rename the files or maybe it's easier to get the navboot to use alternative rom_col_x files - so, for example, colour scheme 2 uses rom_col_8 and rom_col_9 in place of rom_col_2 and rom_col_3. The green mini colours rather than the dull brown????

Hi Nomad,

really excellent program.
Use is absolut intuitively.

But there is one function I miss.
It would be really helpful to have a fuction to save already embedded icons to the hard disk in order to modify existing icons much faster.

Is it easy to implement this function?

Kindest regards,

Matt

Thanx Lupito,

thats true for the POI icons.

I meant also icons/pictures like traffic issues, position markers for the car and all the rest I can exchange with the program created by Nomad.

The program gif_extractor has the possibility to save embedded pictures like the splahscreen to the hard disk.
In my opinion would be the same function in the navTweak-program very helpful.

Ciao

Matt

Ok so I decided that changing the colours one at a time wasn't such a big deal after all and now I have the Mini's "Green" colour scheme as my colour set 2 replacing the terrible brown!

I took apw2607 advice and opened two copies of Navtweak and copied the rom_col_8 colours into rom_col_2 and the rom_col_9 colours into rom_col_3 it didn't take that long and I'm pleased with the results. It just means that I will have to repeat the process for future software upgrades!

This Navtweak program is excellent and replacing the splash logo with it as opposed to the Gif extractor means all TMC warning symbols remain visable. My Landrover Logo is 37kb and I still have all symbols working!

And...... for surfer_matt I'm sure you can save these warning images to your hard drive with Navtweak.....Just right click the line with the image you want to save and it will automatically name the file as it appears in the navboot. I haven't tried editing one and replacing it but I'm sure this can be achieved.

Thanks as always for everyones input!

Andy.
