I agree. The 23C rocks!!! I do have one for myself. Sorta like the Sig, H&K, and Khar too. it's a tough call.

You got it! Muzzle flash everywhere!! I've only noticed a small amount of "kick" difference between the compensated and not compensated version. What do you think? It is noticeable enough for me to go with the 23C though rather then the 23 regular, since the 23C has a little less "kick" or recoil...

The recoil is good for you....I too have a 23 and for the money, it's gotta be one of the most reliable "pea shooters" on the market .....Phil

The kick is minimal. I think my Sig226 .40 has less kick. It really is sort of useless as a home defense in stock form. The flash at night is crazy. I ended up putting a very bright(modified) Surefire light on the end. That seems to help. I will probably change the main spring and see if that helps also. You know nothing good stock. Must mod everything. Any one see Larry's CCW frames? http://www.ccfraceframes.com/

I couldn't think of a more perfect scenario for a justified homicide and the outcome was as it should be. Good guy unhurt, bad guy toes up.

On the .40 vs. 9mm debate: Both are good so long as you select good ammunition and are capable of putting it, whichever caliber, in the right place. My preference is the .40S&W but I'd take some of the better 9mm loads over a mediocre .40. Also, as the old addage goes: a 9mm in the target is better than a .40 over its shoulder.

remember "gun control is using two hands" - I'm in the .40S&W column vs 9mm
