LOL...The smoking gun on Freddie and Fannie

Democrats are denying that there is anything wrong with Freddie and Fannie back in 2004 when the Republicans are trying to force regulation to avoid what happened today. Scroll down and watch the youtube video.

Wake up America.

Barny Frank is doing a Great Job!

Franklin Raines "These assets are so risk-less that their capital for holding them should be under 2%"

Wow...No wonder they failed.

More great lines from this congressional hearing.

''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed.

''I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing,'' Mr. Watt said.

For you Democrats Fast forward to the end where Clinton lays blame on the Democrats for blocking Republicans attempts at legislative safeguards for Fannie and Freddie during his administration.

Case Closed.

Anyone? Pretty compelling evidence that the Democrats in 04 had it wrong standing up for the lending practices of Fannie and Freddie while the Republicans were questioning the financial stability and lack of regulations.

This is actual congressional video with all the major players.

The video is old news. I posted it in the other Fannie Mae thread but it was brushed off as "taken out of context" spin.

MrLabGuy,
Does being "Liberal" equate to Sheeple?
Does being "Republican" equate to being conservative?
Does being "non-Liberal" equate to being non-sheeple?

What the heck is a "Liberal" or non-Liberal?
What the heck is a "Conservative"?

I know a lot of people who claim to be this or that, but
when one digs a little deeper that are a litany of commonalites
that I find among both ying and yan respondents...

I get a kick outta those terms and monikers that are
tossed around and assigned here...most ballbuster
politico boards wouldn't let this kind of stuff slide.

Think about it this way, MLG. You are having a conversation with yourself here sometimes. Eight posts so far in this thread, but six of them are from you, and five of them posted before anyone else even responded!

I think that you just insulted 52% of the US population (by one recent poll measuring Democrat support) by calling them all Sheeple (what the heck is a sheeple?).

Name calling isn't the same as debating. Reposting the same information isn't debating.

Many of my responses are poking fun at the inconsistencies, not supporting one party or the other. It hasn't been tough in this campaign, I'll say that. So, am I a Sheeple?

Sheeple exist on the right and the left. The Obama Campaign is in a large part a movement of followers who take every word as Gospel. Even Obama's campaign slogan "Hope" as well as many other catch phrases foster this following. This is also seen on the far Right as with Religious Conservitaves but not so much with the McCain camp and supporters.

Obama is riding a cult like phenomenon which might just win him the office. Obama's Sheeple will point fingers at Bush for the failure of Fannie and Freddie even in the face of video proof that Democrats like Barny Frank lead the demise.

Obama was #2 on the list of politicians who received campaign donations from Fannie and Freddie over a period of 9 years. Strange that he made it to #2 seeing he was only in office for a short while in those 9 years.

Did you watch the video and hear Barny Frank and the rest of the Democrats 4 years ago saying everything was fine with Freddie and Fannie and point blank telling Republicans that their concern was misguided?

I'm sure most Obama supporters just brushed this off so they could get on with the Dream.

As for Liberal and Conservative I'm neither.

I tend to be a fiscal Conservative and a social Liberal. I've voted equally democratic and republican in my life and I've been voting since I was of legal age.
