I'm all for it -I use my DRLs all the time already. What convinced me was when I was in Denmark about 10 years ago on a very hot day with very high heat-haze - the DRLs just cut through all the haze and increased the visibility dramitically. So they are not just beneficial in low-light situations.

I am a fan of daytime running lights. I understand the concerns of motorcyclists, who want to keep the 'more visible' benefit to themselves, but I think there are benefits overall to having them on all vehicles.
There are two implementations: some vehicles put the dash lights on with the DRLs, and others don't. Those vehicles that do run dash lights at the same time create problems because some drivers don't realize they need their actual lights on to get either headlights or any tail lights, so I think that dash lights should not be on at the same time as DRLs. What I don't get is that some people pull fuses or otherwise disable them simply because of the right to choose argument, while agreeing that they do have safety benefits. That just seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face to me.
