STUDY: Revving powerful engines makes women feel sexy

A new study in the UK confirms that women like fast cars, but apparently it's not the sexy curves of a Lamborghini, Maserati or Ferrari that turns them on. Researchers discovered that it's actually the loud sound of their engines revving that gets a woman's motor to hum. The study was conducted with 40 participants that included both men and women who were played recordings of a Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Volkswagen Polo engine. Afterwards they got their saliva swabbed and analyzed for the presence of testosterone. A higher level of the hormone in their spit indicated that the subjects were more aroused, and the results revealed that 100% of the female participants experienced a big jump in testosterone levels after listening to the Maserati. Chances are the Maserati engine was actually sourced from Ferrari, but we don't know if the results after listening to the Maranello mill were identical. And what happened after participants heard the Polo's wheezy motor? Testosterone levels fell across the board.



So... moral of the story; ditch your Volkswagen when going on a date... it's a sure way to get refused and you actually have your car to blame for it.

i wonder what would cause them to get excited? j/k i can tell you fast crazy driving excites women too. a co-worker and i were going to a seminar and i was driving a little fast and making sharp turns. i apologized if i had scared her, but her response was that it was actually exciting in a very breathy voice. i was tempted to ask her if we should get a room, but, alas, i remembered i was married

The other night I was on a back road and my girlfriend told me that I wasn't driving fast enough. So I hammered it and all she could say was I love the sound of this car.

Hmm, seriously though, your driving may have triggered, in her brain, some kind of chemical that activates fight-or-flight response and that same chemical may be the one that's also released in sexual tension as well. (heavy breathing=increased heart rate=excitement)

yeah, i had to pat myself on the back for that one. i've heard something similar to what you mention in that a man has a better chance of getting together with a woman if they are involved in something dangerous or do something dangerous like skydiving or rockclimbing together because the hormone that triggers fear is the same one that is found in lust/love and elicits a similar response.
