Record what? HD from sat/cable providers is already compressed, and I'm sure there are DRM'like functions on bought bluray discs to prevent you from copying them onto a blank bluray disc, so what are you supposed to record and benefit with this thing?

Every carousel dvd player I have ever bought has broken prematurely.
And they were always out of warranty.

Denon, Yamaha, I've had them all.. And there all garbage.
