Republican convention

The most boring I 've ever watch, some are sleeping, others are yawning. What is going on. It doesn't help that the average age of attendees is 70+.

I liked it, watched it till about 11:00pm. Thought Fred Thompson's speech was seriously moving. No it wasn't Live Aid like Obama does but there was a real message about who McCain was.

Side note, over 1B dollars has been given to candidates this election: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/map/

We can all stop saying "poor families", "poverty" and "economic downturn". That is a BOAT LOAD of money spent on nothing. And where are all those old school lines that use to be said about the Reps; all that money means they owe someone something. Funny how that doesn't come up when someone got close to 340M dollars As predicted earlier in the day, Ron Paul got a whopping 2 minutes of air time by CNN

Personally, I pray McCain wins. If Obama actually had a record of some type, I could see him as president but voting "present" in Congress does not constitute a vote IMO.

I can't handle socialism and working to pay for everyone else in the Country. Can't get behind the Hope & Pray campaign on the Dem side. "Feeling good about chances..." not really. The media is completely, damn near 100%, bias in favor of Obama. That really kills McCain with a large segment of American Idol viewers. And if they ever vote on Nov 4 like they do for that show, the RNC is in trouble. However, that said, people need to understand this isn't a reality show and a concert, or a feel-good motion and lets all pat ourselves on the back for being so forward thinking...this is real life. Of course, Paris Hilton made the "simple life"..maybe the group is confused

It was funny depending on who was covering the event. MSNBC kept zooming in on SUPER old people who looked as though they died last week. I's sweare one woman was not breathing and looked a little blue (hair and all).

Having Lieberman speak sure made the red tent look a little larger.

Yet another example of liberal media bias in terms of where they put the camera...
