imitation BMW alarm?
how long have Toyotas had the distinctive BMW alarm beep (lock & unlock)? I haven't paid close attention but noticed 2 of them yesterday (one an older minivan). What do Mercedes have?

LOL That's funny. A co-worker of mine has a Toyota and I've noticed that it's the same sound, as well.

The Mercedes is more of a "woop woop" than beep.

Lexus (its a Toyota of course too) has the same sound also...

since when does the benz make noise?
I remember our neighbors '97 C class had this little dot matrix thing that changed from green to red on the door handle as you lock it...

Benz does make a copy cat sound like the Bimmer's ..97? thats quite awhile ago...since 2000 I'm pretty sure the benz's have made the beep noise...
