Haha, After reading/contributing to this thread last night, I got the need for Chinese food. So I went on a hunt for soup dumplings in Los Angeles and found a couple places on the internet that were reviewed for having XLB (soup dumplings) in Monterey Park. So, off we went, (Monterey Park is about 15 miles from my home.) They are called XLB because, Xiao Long Bao is the real name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiaolongbao It's good to know what we have XLB soup dumplings in Los Angeles but I want to add, there not as good as the ones at Joe's Shanghai in NYC. I will definitely go for XLB again and often in LA as there seems to be about 10 restaurants that serve them in the Alhambra area. Last night we ate at: Mei Long Village. It was very good.
