Yep...Which is why it will be a LONG time before we see anything as spectacular than that show. Future technology might outdo that spectacle but it will be a long time from now I suspect.

It was a great show, absolutely. It is just that it is hard to compete with the sort of investment they put into it, and it really shouldn't be a competition at all but rather a focus on the athletes and their achievements.

Seeing how Vancouver is spending every penny possible to complete the YVR skytrain expansion, I'd be surprised if the 2010 winter olympics will have any fireworks at all. lol

Haha, I agree it was an amazing show, but it was pretty interesting that much of the pyrotechnics were faked and the little girl singing in the red dress was lip synching to a song performed by a girl the Chinese deemed had "a chubby face and too bad teeth" to actually perform.
