What are the tangibles for McCain?

Other than the fact that McCain will wear a Flag pin, what are the tangibles for McCain?

Since you are so curious about public opinion, why don't you post a thread on it (for the second time)

Obviously you are under the misconception that there are only 2 candidates. Don't worry, it is a common incorrect belief

Only one of two candidates will be elected, and it will be a hard choice, voting for anyone else might make you feel good but is a waste of time.

No. Only one will be elected and it is likely the next president will come from one of these two parties.

But, I understand what you were trying to say

Another point of view.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...track=ntothtml

When the flag-pin issue arose in October, Obama said he had made a deliberate choice not to wear one shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks because he believed the pins had become a "substitute for, I think, true patriotism."

"You start noticing people wearing a lapel pin but not acting very patriotic," he said then. "Not voting to provide veterans with resources that they need. Not voting to make sure that disability payments were coming out on time."

On Friday, speaking to Montanans at an Independence Day picnic, he said that the policies a president advances are the ultimate measure of patriotism.

Invoking the condition of today's war veterans, he said: "We have to make sure that when veterans come home we greet them with honor and the respect they deserve. No more begging for disability payments. No more waiting in line for hours. No more driving to facilities that are too far away. No more tolerance for homeless veterans.

"That's how we show, on this Fourth of July, our patriotism."

I don't care one way or another but it seems to me he has a point about flag waving people who do it when it's convenient but don't stand behind their convictions when it counts.

Global view? Does that include being "diplomatic" with terrorists hoping that they will agree with our terms and hopefully leave us alone, instead of wiping us off the face of the earth? Does that include opening our borders and joining a "union" something like a "north American Union" and give up our national sovereignty? I guess you're right; Senator Obama does have a globalistic view. I guess that's what he meant when he said that being the next US president is what the world is waiting for...
