She is going to Phoenix Arizona on a 3 day business trip and wanted to know what the weather was like.

She was really bummed when I informed her it was currently 103 degrees at 8pm and would be 104, 105 and 106 when she was there.

How do you guys in the desert maintain in that heat?

Here in the Bay Area of California it only rains a in the winter during about a 4 month window. Sunny and warm during the rest of the year with a mean temperature of about 74 degrees during the day and the fog rolls in for the evening to cool things down for good sleeping.

It rarely snows, rarely freezes and hardly ever gets into the triple digits in terms of heat during the summer.

I'm in charge of our Coachella Territory (Palm Springs valley) and it cracks me up, I'll leave my house at 7am and it's 70 degrees (I live in downtown San Diego) and I arrive 2.5 hours later in La Quinta,Ca and it's 116. oy!

North Bay (Petaluma) It really is what I described.

I just checked the offical stats between 1971 and 2000 and the mean temperature where I live for June was 72 July 74 and August 79. I have a pretty sophisticated weather station on my roof hooked to my PC which is where I came up with that figure.

You funny girl Chelle Chelle . Actually 104 degrees is pretty nice around here. What sucks is two weeks straight of 115 degrees . We are in our monsoon season right now, so sporadic thunderstorms are the norm this time of year. Like Michelle said, the winters here are pretty amazing . Oh, get a white car, tint the windows, and use a sun shade .
