I'm not saying you're right or wrong, I haven't seen it. But it's long been the job of story makers to tell tales of war that paint soldiers in both positive and negative lights. It is the human condition that filmmakers study, both right and wrong. And war is an excellent story-ground to push characters to the limits and see how they cope. |

I think it's great so far. Not that I would know, I wasn't there, but it seems the range of the characters personalities and views toward being there are realistic and far ranging, as I would expect. From the prejudiced trigger-happy guy that can't wait to get his first kill to the conscientious soldier that realizes they're there to help and that the Iraqi's are people too.
Reminds me a little of "Band of Brothers". I guess it should, that's another great HBO mini-series about war.
