the lost tribe in brazil that wasn't....
http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/91536
Go environmentalists. Remember a few months back when that "tribe" was discovered in Brazil? Well, it was discovered back in 1910....the guy who took the shots and said they were new did it to bring attention to the logging industry. So...he lied to further his dumb environmental cause. Rock on in the free world.

"These pictures are further evidence that uncontacted tribes really do exist," Survival director Stephen Corry said. "The world needs to wake up to this, and ensure that their territory is protected in accordance with international law. Otherwise, they will soon be made extinct."

Great book by an anthropologist Tobias Schneebaum called Keep the River on Your Right. He took a boat by himself down the Amazon and lived with a previously undiscovered cannibal tribe for a few years.
