GT2 has too much power for the 911 chassis. You can drive it but it may punish you.

GT3 I believe is held to be a better overall balance of power and handling

GT2 is a turbo charged, rear wheel drive.
GT3 is naturally aspirated, rear wheel drive.

It's a lot easier to find 540hp with a bi-turbo yet the way power is delivered in a different way than a flat 6 delivers.

Even though I have a Porsche Turbo, I fully understand the appreciation of a naturally aspirated, track designed, GT3.

also GT3 is designed to be lighter weight optional with a semi-gutted interior, and no 'rear seats' i believe but a strut bar, not sure on that though

Yes, in comparison to the 911. But I believe the "lighter weight, semi-gutted interior and no rear seats is also true for the GT2.. But don't quote me on that.

Yes, they are LJ, but you can also think of it like this.

The GT3 and the GT3RS are widely regarded as the true, purists car. Light weight, agile, responsive and a ton of fun. A true DRIVERS car.

The GT2 is considered to be the fastest of the bunch. Balls to the wall. Mean, fast, dangerous. But because it's power is derived from a turbo charged engine, it doesn't have quite the elegance, sophistication or nuance of the GT3, despite it's overwhelming power.

So the question is, which would you rather own, the faster, more dangerous, bite you in the ass, rear wheel drive, turbo
or
the very fast, super handling, linear power delivered, GT3.

Both cars will get you to the Start/Finish line quite quickly, one just does it with brute force and the other does it with finesse.

Just give me a plain Turbo and I 'll be happy!
