I love mine. They feel great. The grip size and angle are perfect as far as I am concerned. They are also very accurate out of the box and you can't go wrong with a good .45ACP. The only decision you have to make is what specific model you want. Mine is a plain blued version but I got it back before they started offering all the different finishes. All that stuff is just fluff anyway. Magazines are a bit pricey for single-stackers. You can get 7 or 8 rounders.

I liked my P220 so much I bought the smaller version then called the P245. I think they call it a P220 Carry or Compact now.

Get it!

I had a P220 (stainless model) for a while, and feel just as good about them as PNG. You can't go wrong with one.

Great guys, thanks. What do you think price wise, right now the best I've seen is around $899.99.

You could pick one up slightly used off SigForum.com for much less.

I wouldn't know how to take delivery. I live in Maryland the most anti-gun state in the Union....you know..."the Free state"

Great gun I have owned one for about 4 years now...and have owned other Sigs over the years. I bought my P220 used at the Valley Forge Gun Expo although it looked like it had many rounds through it, after a TLC it has performed flawlessly. Very reliable like all Sigs, the only knock I have ever heard about the 220 is that its a little bulky for CC...I use a H&K P2000SK .40 for CC and the P220 for home defense.

Man have Sigs gotten expensive! I bought mine brand new for $550 back in '95.

Check in to good used ones. I also know that Sig has a factory refurb program too. Look on Sig's website. I think it's www.sigarms.com.

I would have to disagree that Maryland is the most unfriendly to gun owners. California is pretty darned crazy. Example: If you missed the deadline to register your "assault weapon", for whatever reason, you cannot now register it. So someone who might have been out of the country, in a coma, or just didn't know about some obscure new gun law cannot now try to comply with the law. CA DOJ created a whole new class of felons.

I guess we, meaning CA and MD gun enthusiasts, should get them while we can.

Go for the Sig. If you are worried about buying from out of state, it's not that difficult. As long as the gun is legal in your state and it ships from a FFL dealer to a FFL dealer you're legal. Your FFL receiving dealer will take care all the MD background stuff.

I'm currently dealing with a transfer from FL to CA on something.
