About to trade in the X5 for...

I'm close to trading in my 2004 X5 3.0 with 60k miles for a 2008 Mercedes C300 4-Matic in Mars Red/Grey. They are offering me $19,000 for my car. Do you guys think I should try to negotiate more is it fair?

The new car's MSRP is $42,xxx and comes with P2, Panoroof, and Multimedia Package. I'm just waiting for them to get this car into the showroom for about $38,xxx. What do you guys think about this deal?

$19k for an 04 Ouch, New C class is a lot nicer than the new 3 series but in terms of driving the 3 is head and shoulders above the Benz.

I put my 04 Touareg on Craigslist yesterday, and every russian living within 200 miles has responded... try that maybe?

I know the 3 series performs better than this car. But I love the looks of the new C.

I wouldn't do it. That's a huge hit on the X and to be honest, you're not doing it for a "must have" kind of car or once-in-a-liftetime opportunity. It's a C-class and not a C63, not that I'd want one of those. Do you want to take it in the shorts that badly for that car?

I'm sure you can do a lot better than $19k on yours.

It's not like the 3 series is ugly (pretty good looking imo), and you spend 99% of your time with the car inside; where you can't see it. A E90 3-series is so much a better car.

$19Kfor a 4 year old X5 that probably had an MSRP around $50K equates to ~ 38%. Why not lease your cars and let the finance companies take the hit?

In regards to the Benz C300- it's definitly a hot looking chick's car. My wife was looking at one but ended up with an Acura TL.
