I agree, the wheels in the 2nd pic do suit the lines of the car pretty well IMO.
I don't know if I could pull the trigger on this over a 3-series, but I like the looks of this car as much or better than the current, pre-face lift 3 series sedan. The milk-mustache chrome on the front and the tail lamps really get me on the current 3 sedan. The 3-coupe is a different story, though. Now that is sexy. |

It may have been inaccurate, but I read in a recent Roundel article that Audi will only build the RS-4 or the RS-6 at one particular time and not both simultaneously. I was under the impression that they were going the route of the RS-6 with the new models, so wouldn't that only leave the S4 as the performance model? |

). The B7 S4 and RS4 were sold at the same time. That is how it will continue to be. It would make much more sense for Audi to get rid of the 3.2L engine, which is the dog of the lineup, than the "S" line of cars. You could call me biased but it would do so much for the lineup.

I agree with that statement. Here is a quote from an article in the May 2008 Roundel; "Fortunately for BMW AG, Audi-VW's baffling (mis) management policies ensured that the RS4 was leaving production when the latest M3 arrived in Europe, as Audi can only sell one RS line at a time. It was the turn of Audi's twin-turbo RS6 to debut a 580-HP cut of Lamborghini V10 punch in a hardcore A6 suit--right in the 500-HP BMW M5/6's marketplace." Does this apply to Europe only? |

Ah, no, not exactly. I was only confused because that didn't have much to do with my original "get rid of 3.2" comment--I wasn't talking about the RS cars, but now I am.
![]() In the US it's different, but hard to explain. We may not get the RS6 at all, but if we do it will be the sedan, which has yet to be introduced. I personally love über Avants but I'm afraid the S4 and S6 Avants' time here was fleeting. |

Never again. My 2007 would not run right in the winter in the cold/snow. I took a 10k loss on it and Audi would not do nothing nor the dealer.

Oh yeah, I was referring to your comment about 2 normal engines in the A4 lineup and then 2 performance versions (S4 and RS4). I was reading that article and it sounded like because Audi was going to start production of the RS6 that it was going to stop production of the RS4 because they couldn't build 2 different RS model lines at the same time for some reason. That would leave the 4 cylinder, the 6 cylinder and the performance S model for the A4 line up. Therefore, there will be less choices and only 1 performance model for the A4 model range. Is that article correct? Can audi only build either the RS4 or the RS6 at one time and not both? Was the comment in that article directed at the European market or the US market? |
